Illinois Nurses Foundation

Mission
Illinois Nurses Foundation seeks and funds innovative solutions to the challenge of creating a healthier Illinois.

Vision
A healthy world needs healthy people. The Illinois Nurses Foundation promotes the health of people and the development of the nursing profession.

Purpose
The purpose of the Foundation, as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation, is to promote the health of the public by advancing the nursing profession in Illinois through charitable, scientific, research, and educational programs. That purpose will be accomplished through the following philanthropic activities:

  • Providing scholarship funding to students of nursing and nurses,
  • Funding scholarly initiatives that promote the health of people and development of the nursing profession, and
  • Informing the public about health issues and nursing.

These activities will be accomplished through procuring grants and endowments from private foundations, corporate sponsors, government agencies, and individuals.

How it came to be
In honor of its first 100 years, INA established the Illinois Nurses Foundation to promote the health of the public by advancing the nursing profession in Illinois. This purpose will be carried out through its programs
