The September 20th Board of Directors meeting has been rescheduled to follow the HOD in October. (See above) The BOD meeting will be held 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on October 21, 2008 at the Kankakee Hilton Garden Inn.

PANN Meeting in Bolingbrook Starts July 11, 2008

The Peer Assistance Network for Nurses (PANN) will be holding a meeting Friday evenings at 7 p.m. at New Life Lutheran Church located on Route 53 in Bolingbrook starting July 11, 2008. This meeting will be facilitated by a PANN Board Member and is open to any health professional dealing with substance abuse or mental illness issues. For more information, call (312) 419-2900

In Memory of Cindy Steury-Lattz

The Illinois Nurses Association mourns the passing of association President Cindy Steury-Lattz on June 11, 2008. A memorial was held on June 16th, and an outpouring of support has reached her family and the association she loved so much.

The Illinois Nurses Foundation continues to provide opportunities for nurses to continue their education along with the development of community education solutions. The new INF presentation is airing throughout the month of July on Chicago Area Network TV (CAN). The smoking cessation presentation is scheduled to hit the airwaves in late fall.
